While the appearance is new, Cozumel International Hospital is a well-stablished health provider with a solid reputation for high quality care and patient satisfaction, as the Hyperbaric Chamber (1987), it was the very first diver recompression chamber on the island; it became the flagship of the Subaquatic Safety Services Recompression Chamber Network, which consists of ten affiliated hyperbaric medicine facilities on five continents.

In the intervening years, services were increased as our commuinty demanded them. These included from X Rays to advanced imaging (CT Scan, MRI, X-Ray, Ultrasound), ambulance and paramedic services, specialist physicians, cardiology (with Cath Lab on premises) emergency hospitalization and surgical suites.

A complete remodel and expansion program, which includes a medical tower, took place in 2014. The grand openig was in July, 2016.
